The Book of Mook is set within the realms of fantasy and reality.
The fantasy realm concerns a race of furry beings called mookeys who once lived upon the Earth, long before humankind. Fiffle, the first of these beings, embarks upon a quest to rid the world of negativity which has begun to poison the land with sinister purple energy. But as Fiffle will learn, both negative and positive energies are necessary to maintain the careful balance of harmony, the glue which holds everything together.
The realm of reality concerns the true story of Mark Bartlett, a college friend of mine who muttered and uttered the Mookey tales to me over the times I spent in his company. The numerous pages I wrote from his musings were thought long lost, but many years later upon rediscovering them I began a quest of my own to remember my old friend and bring these fabulous fables out into the world, where perhaps they could inspire others as they still continue to inspire me.
